Climbing Escalade Canada (CEC) is seeking a candidate to fill a part time commission based position of Fundraising and Member Engagement Coordinator.

The Fundraising and Member Engagement Coordinator (FMEC) will assist the CEC in reaching their future financial goals, and enhancing the information flow to its members and the Canadian competition climbing community as a whole. The FMEC will be accountable to the CEC Treasurer and Secretary.
The FMEC will contribute to achieving a balanced budget by pursuing funds through the following avenues:
Team Sponsors – The FMEC will put together a three-level annual sponsorship package (Title Sponsor, Co-Sponsors, and Supporters). The FMEC will target potential companies interested in all three sponsorship levels.
Sponsors for nationally sanctioned competitions – The FMEC will put together a sponsorship package for all National Events, and target companied interested in sponsoring singe events or the entire season.
Training Camps, and Special Events sponsors – The FMEC will be responsible for making sponsorship packages for specific projects or events such as training camps, conferences and workshops.
Donations – The FMEC will be responsible for creating a platform for accepting donations. They will also be responsible for creating specific donation campaigns.
Retail Sales – The FMEC will be responsible for setting up retail sales during nationally sanctioned events, and online.
The FMEC will assist the CEC in increasing the level of engagement of its members through the following;
Newsletter -The FMEC will assist the CEC Secretary in creating a bi-monthly newsletter aimed at keeping the competition climbing community aware of the regular business of the CEC including but not limited to upcoming events, results from National and International events, job opportunities, summaries of meetings, budget information, update on fundraising goals.
Social Media – The FMEC will assist the CEC treasurer in managing all CEC social media outlets and website.
Committees Support – The FMEC will assist the various CEC Committees with any potential fundraising initiatives, sponsorship needs, or delivery of information to the competition climbing community.
Past experience in Marketing and Fundraising.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Skilled in Microsoft office products and social media platforms.
Ability to work independently or as part of a small group.
Have past experience and understanding of climbing competitions.
Very well organized, and attentive to details.
Bilingual is considered an asset.
