The 2022 IFSC Youth World Championships (YWCH) will take place in Dallas, USA, from August 22-31st. This event will see Youth B, Youth A, and Junior athletes competing in the 3 disciplines of sport climbing: Bouldering, Lead, and Speed. Climbing Escalade Canada is planning on sending a complete Team Canada to this event!
CEC is currently recruiting Coaching Staff for this event. Interested candidates have until April 24th to apply.
Canada has access to 3 quotas per category/gender/discipline. Our YWCH selection process can be summarized as follows:
- Youth B – athletes will be selected based on the final rankings at the respective Youth National Championships for each discipline
- Youth A and Junior
- First priority is given to athletes ranked in the Top 6 of the Senior High Performance Program as of April 15, 2022
- Second priority is given to final rankings at the respective Youth National Championships for each discipline
- Speed athletes must also establish a Minimum Performance Time as listed here
